What is a Fire Shelter?
For many applications in the process industry, it is required to protect critical equipment against fire.
Hydrocarbon based fires reach very high temperatures, over 1100°C, within a few minutes.
These are very challenging conditions and causes problems to the
plant designers when items like emergency shut-down valves (ESV)
needs to be protected.
