Agility Group, a market leader in engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning solutions for the offshore oil and gas industry, has renewed its Global Alliance Agreement (GAA) for three years to use Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise as a key design and information management solution. The company seeks to position itself as the go-to provider of engineering solutions in the increasingly competitive international marketplace by expanding the use of Intergraph Smart solutions in all its projects worldwide.
Agility Group found in Intergraph Smart solutions the cutting-edge technology capable of ensuring efficient and integrated data management, improved design capability and standardized change management across various locations. The company sought more reliable and optimized project and life-cycle material management and centralized information point access.
The Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise portfolio utilized by Agility Group includes Intergraph Smart™ 3D, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Materials and SmartPlant Reference Data. This portfolio ensures Agility Group’s position as the preferred engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) solutions provider for medium-sized projects in the Nordic region.
Agility Group has achieved lower overall project costs by offering a single source collaboration platform and next generation design tools for all partners in the supply chain. "Agility Group has used Smart 3D, SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant Materials in a number of relevant projects in the offshore oil and gas market, experiencing improved productivity and lowered operating costs, thanks to improved project management," said Terje Ørbeck, SmartPlant Team Group lead at Agility Group. "Intergraph Smart 3D is currently used in topside modifications on the Gullfaks Rimfaksdalen platform in cooperation with Statoil, Samsung Heavy Industries, BP and Chevron.
Intergraph solutions are also facilitating the building of a deep water drilling vessel with STX Offshore and Shipbuilding in Korea."
